POTSDAM, N.Y.—
Erin Gehen (W. Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) tallied a goal and an assist and Buffalo State remained undefeated with a 3-1 victory over host Potsdam tonight in an ECAC West contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, Gehen opened the scoring just over a minute into the second period with her fifth goal in as many games, stealing the puck below the goal line and tucking it home.
- Potsdam tied the score four minutes later with a power-play marker, but Viivi Vaattovaara (Veikkola, Finland) tallied her first of the season from Gehen and Brooke Krantz (Penticton, BC/Penticton) to give the Bengals a 2-1 lead heading into the final stanza.
- Jessica Carter (Scottsdale, AZ/Brightmont Academy) added an insurance marker with a quick shot off a face off early in the third period with an assist from Missy Mallon (Amherst, NY/Amherst).
- Buffalo State outshot the Bears, 30-23. The Bengals were 0 for 3 on the power-play, while Potsdam was 1-2.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) made 22 saves in the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Anna-Rose Bertin scored for Potsdam, and Alexa Pfeiffer finished with 27 saves.
