Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) scored a career-high six goals and
Alanna Herne (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) tallied nine points to lead Buffalo State to a 17-15 victory over host Allegheny today in a non-conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Krowel added an assist to her game-high six goals, while Herne had five goals and four assists.
- Sarah Lorusso (Lakeview/Frontier) had two goals and two assists, and Cassie Saint-Vil (Middletown/Middletown) netted her first two goals of the season and had an assist.
- Morgan Hogue (Painted Post/Corning) and Johna Kjerstad (Baldwinsville/CW Baker) also scored for the Bengals.
- Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) made eight saves while allowing 14 goals, and Megan Doyle (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon) finished with three saves and one goal against in just under four minutes of work.
- Buffalo State jumped out to an early 7-3 lead and held a 10-8 edge at halftime.
- The Bengals scored the first two goals of the second half and pushed the lead to 17-11 with just under 14 minutes remaining.
- The Gators rallied with the game's final four goals, cutting the deficit to two with 4:37 remaining, but Buffalo State would successfully close out the victory.
- Allegheny finished with a 30-24 edge in shots, a 22-12 advantage in draw controls, and a 30-25 edge in ground balls. The Gators committed 29 turnovers, compared to 27 by Buffalo State.
- The Bengals made the most of their opportunities, however, as Allegheny's goalkeeper finished with just six saves, compared to 11 by Buffalo State's duo.
FOR THE FOES- Jackie Morrow, Gusty Mead and Shelby Piper scored three goals each for the Gators.
- Alex Zielinski and Anna Doten scored twice each.
