CLERMONT, Fla.—Buffalo State scored the first four goals of the game and
Sarah Lorusso (Lakeview/Frontier) recorded seven points in an 11-6 victory over Farmingdale State in a non-conference game today at the National Training Center near Orlando, Fla.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Lorusso led the Bengals with five goals and two assists, making her the 14th player in school history with 100 career points, bringing her total to 105.
- Sophomore Alanna Herne (Tonawanda/Tonawanda), who already joined the 100-point club earlier this season, added two goals and two assists in the win.
- Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) also scored twice, while Morgan Hogue (Painted Post/Corning) and Kyra Thompson (Massena/Salmon River) added a goal apiece.
- Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) made nine saves while allowing just five goals in nearly 57 minutes of work, before Megan Doyle (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon) allowed on goal in the final 3-plus minutes.
- Buffalo State jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first 10 minutes and never trailed, although the Rams were able to cut the deficit to 4-3.
- The Bengals pushed the lead to 7-4 at the intermission and scored the first three goals of the second half to create separation.
- Buffalo State outshot Farmingdale, 35-19, and had a 12-7 advantage in draw controls.
- The Bengals also committed a season-low eight turnovers, compared to 13 by the Rams.
FOR THE FOES- Nicole Ingrassia scored twice for Farmingdale, and four other players scored a goal each.
- Krista Spagnoletta made 15 saves to help keep the Rams in the game.
UP NEXTBuffalo State will conclude its Florida trip on Thursday with a clash against Williams at noon.
