CLERMONT, Fla.— Buffalo State lost two games on Saturday afternoon, falling 10-2 in five innings to No. 22 Tufts and then 18-7 in five innings to St. Benedict.
GAME 1 BASICSFINAL SCORE: Tufts – 10, Buffalo State – 2

HOW IT HAPPENED- Cassandra O'Hern (Augusta, NJ/High Point) led the Buffalo State offense in the first game of the day, finishing 2 for 2 from the plate with one run.
- Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew) finished 1 for 3 with one run and Danielle Szymkowiak (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) went 1 for 3 with two RBIs.
- Lexi Haley (Rochester/Aquinas) recorded the loss in the circle, pitching 4.1 innings and allowing five earned runs on 12 hits with two strikeouts.
- Tufts got on the scoreboard first with a run in the bottom of the second inning.
- The Bengals turned around and used two hits and a Jumbo error to put Buffalo State in the lead, 2-1.
- The Jumbos, however, scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth and followed up with three more runs in the next inning to seal the 5-inning win.
FOR THE FOES- Summer Horowitz led the Tufts offense, going 2 for 3 with two runs and 3 RBIs.
- Erica County earned the win after allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and one strikeout in five innings pitched.

RECORDS: Buffalo State (7-7), St. Benedict (10-5)
HOW IT HAPPENED- Novo led the Bengals in the second matchup of the day, going 4 for 4 from the plate with three runs.
- Melissa Woods (Lakeview/Frontier) finished 2 for 3 from the plate with one run and one RBI.
- Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) recorded the loss in the circle, allowing three earned runs on one hit with two walks in 0.1 innings pitched. Nicole Adams (Lockport/Starpoint) came in to close out the inning, allowing six runs on one hit. Haley finished out the final four innings, allowing zero earned runs on seven hits and tallying three strikeouts.
- St. Benedict jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning of the game and never looked back.
- Buffalo State managed to make it 9-3 heading into the second, but a six-run second inning from the Blazers put the game out of reach for the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES- Karlee Pfaff led the St. Benedict offense, finishing 1 for 2 with three runs and one RBI.
- Cassie Meyer earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 3.1 innings pitched.
