Sarah Lorusso (Lakeview/Frontier) scored four goals, but Buffalo State fell short in an 11-9 loss to Albright today at Utica College.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Alanna Herne (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) added three goals and three assists for the Bengals.
- Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and Johna Kjerstad (Baldwinsville/CW Baker) also scored for Buffalo State.
- Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) made nine saves in goal in the loss.
- Buffalo State was outshot 18-8 in the first half and trailed 7-4 at the intermission.
- The Bengals rallied to even the score at 9-9 with nine minutes remaining, but the Lions broke the tie with 7:58 remaining and added an insurance marker with just under two minutes to play.
- Albright finished with a 31-24 advantage in shots and a 26-21 edge in ground balls.
- Buffalo State collected 12 draw controls, while the Lions had nine.
FOR THE FOES- Jacqui Montague had three goals to lead Albright.
- Amanda Smith, Tori Meyer and Mariah Cullen added two goals and one assist apiece.
- Erin Farrell and Danielle Carey also scored.
- Emily Hutson finished with seven saves.
