NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—
Jean Stahl (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) belted four hits and
Lexi Haley (Rochester/Aquinas) tossed a four-hitter as Buffalo State shutout New Paltz 6-0 in the second half of today's SUNYAC twin bill to earn a split after dropping the first game, 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Stephanie Novo (Cheektowaga/Depew) and Laura Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) combined for six of the Bengals' seven hits. Novo was 3 for 4 with two doubles, and Crooks was also 3 for 4 with a run scored.
- Jordan Sarat (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) continued her solid run in the circle, scattering just six hits in the loss.
- Buffalo State led twice, scoring a run in the first inning and then took a 2-1 lead in the fifth. New Paltz plated a pair of runs in the sixth to take its first lead of the game, however, and was unable to capitalize on two one-out base runners in the seventh.
FOR THE FOES- Julia Perhacs went 3 for 3 with three doubles and two runs scored for New Paltz.
- Katie Rutcofski was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. She also earned the win scattering seven hits in the circle.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Stahl was 4 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Haley struck out six in the complete game four-hitter.
- Novo was 2 for 5 with a run scored and four other Bengals had one hit each.
- After scoring a run in the first, the Bengals pushed the lead to 3-0 in the third and then added two more insurance runs in the sixth and another in the seventh.
FOR THE FOES- Kiersten Carlomagno was 2 for 2 with a double for New Paltz.
- Taylor Corwin allowed 10 hits and three earned runs in the loss.
