PITTSFORD, N.Y.—Buffalo State erased a two-set deficit and roared past host St. John Fisher in five sets before falling in three against Baldwin Wallace on the opening day of the Cardinal Invitational.

• Meg Brandon (Flint, MI/Grand Blanc) had 32 assists and three aces for the Bengals.
