HERSHEY, Pa.—Nationally No. 9/10-ranked Buffalo State peppered the Lebanon Valley goal with 57 shots, but only managed a 3-2 victory tonight in a non-conference game at Hersheypark Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) got Buffalo State on the scoreboard first with his seventh goal of the season in the final minutes of the first period on the power play.
- LVC evened the score with a power-play goal of its own in the middle frame and the scored remained tied 1-1 entering the third period, despite Buffalo State holding a 35-9 advantage in shots.
- Freshman Anthony Passero (Fort Erie, ON/Lakeshore) broke the tie for the Bengals early in the third period with his seventh goal of the season.
- Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter) added his team-leading eighth goal of the season into the empty net to provide needed insurance with 51 seconds remaining.
- The Flying Dutchmen closed the deficit back to one with 27 seconds left, but could not get the equalizer.
- Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) finished with 18 saves as the Bengals finished with a 57-20 advantage in shots on goal.
- Passero also had an assist and Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) added a pair of helpers.
FOR THE FOES
- Joel Eisenhower single-handedly kept LVC in the game, making 54 saves.
- Brian Hovanec and Jake Thomas scored for the Flying Dutchmen.
NOTEWORTHY
- It was just the third time this season DeLaVergne allowed two or more goals in a game.
