CORTLAND, N.Y.—Buffalo State outshot Cortland 31-18, including 22-8 over the final two periods, but the host Red Dragons edged the Bengals 2-1 today for their first ECAC West victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Dragons opened the scoring with the only goal of the first period.
- Christine Harris (Mountain Top, PA/Wyoming Seminary) finally broke through for Buffalo State with her second goal of the season on the power play in the closing minutes of the middle frame. Erin Gehen (W. Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) had an assist.
- The Bengals continued to be the aggressors in the third period, outshooting Cortland 12-5, but the Red Dragons netted the game-winning goal with 3:51 remaining.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) had 16 saves in the loss.
FOR THE FOES
- Kianna Gutenmann scored both goals for Cortland, and Kelly Farinella finished with 30 saves in the victory.
