Women’s Basketball stumbles against Oswego, 65-58

BUFFALO, N.Y.— Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) scored a career-high 16 points but it was not enough as Buffalo State suffered a 68-55 setback to visiting Oswego in tonight's SUNYAC matchup in the Sports Arena.

  • Liv LeBaron (Horseheads/Corning Painted Post) netted 15 points for Buffalo State to go with three rebounds and one assist.
  • Villarini added seven rebounds and four assists in the game.
  • Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) chipped in nine points and six rebounds.
  • Kendall Mills (Buffalo/Kenmore East) and Lex Williams (Brooklyn/South Shore) each finished with five points.
  • Buffalo State battled in the first quarter but found itself down 14-13 at the end of the first 20 minutes of action.
  • Villarini connected on a jumper with 8:10 left in the second quarter to give Buffalo State its first lead of the day, 15-14.
