MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Four different players scored to give No. 10/12 a 4-0 lead and Buffalo State held on for a 4-2 victory over host Morrisville State tonight in the first half of a SUNYAC home-and-home series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jake Rosen (E. Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) had a goal and an assist, and Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS), Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) and Ben Butcher (Bellingham, WA / Langley) also scored for Buffalo State.
- Buffalo State jumped out to a 4-0 lead while outshooting the Mustangs 33-15 over the opening 40 minutes.
- Rosen started the scoring with the only goal of the first period on the power play.
- Nieminen extended the lead with his eighth of the season, also on the power play, early in the second.
- After Remers potted his seventh of the year, Butcher added another power-play marker for the Bengals to complete the offense.
- The Mustangs broke the shutout in the final minute of the second period, and added a power-play goal midway through the final frame.
- Buffalo State outshot Morrisville 41-22 for the game. Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) made 20 stops for the win.

- With the win, Buffalo State matches its single-season record of 15 wins which it set last season. Dating back to Nov. 13, 2015, Buffalo State is 30-9-3.
