OSWEGO, N.Y.—Oswego used a walk-off two-run double in the first game and a combined three-hitter in the late game to sweep visiting Buffalo State today in a SUNYAC doubleheader, winning 4-3 and 3-0.
GAME #1 BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers erased a 3-2 deficit with a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning to steal the 4-3 victory.
- Allie Block (N. Tonawanda/Starpoint) led the Bengals at the plate, going 2 for 2 with a home run and a pair of RBIs. She was also in the circle, scattering six hits with nine strikeouts.
- Oswego opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning, but the Bengals evened the score on a Block single and an error that scored Danielle Szymkowiak (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) and Laura Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) in the third inning.
- The Bengals pulled ahead on Block's homer in the sixth, but the Lakers set the table with a hit by pitch and a single in the seventh before producing the game-winning double.
FOR THE FOES
- Rebecca Vilchez earned the win for Oswego, tossing the complete-game six-hitter, allowing just two earned runs. She was also 2 for 3 at the plate with the game-winning hit.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals managed just three hits in the late game and only advanced one runner past second base in the shutout loss.
- Nicole Adams (Lockport/Starpoint) collected two of the Bengals' three hits, going 2 for 2 with a double.
- Block turned in another solid compete-game effort, scattering just four hits with 10 strikeouts and only allowed one earned run.
- The Lakers opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning and then capitalized on a second error by the Bengals to score another run in the third inning.
FOR THE FOES
- Jessica Roe pitched the win, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing just three hits. She also got it done at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.
- Vilchez earned the save, recording the final five outs.
