PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Buffalo State made short work of host Plattsburgh in the first half of today's SUNYAC doubleheader, winning 10-2, only to have the Cardinals flip the script with a 9-1 win in the late game, also in five innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Laura Crooks (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) was 3 for 3 with three runs scored, and Cassandra O'Hern (Augusta, NJ/High Point) was 3 for 3 with a double and four RBIs to pace the Bengals' bats.
- Kaelee Lynch (Atwater, CA/Buhach Colony) and Abijah Adams (Rochester/Greece-Arcadia) each added a double and two RBIs.
- Allie Block (N. Tonawanda/Starpoint) earned her 13th win of the season, allowing five hits and striking out six in five innings.
- Buffalo State produced 10 hits and drew seven walks en route to the shortened victory.
- After scoring two runs in the first, the Bengals blew the game wide open in the second, converting five hits and three walks into seven run to take a 9-0 lead.
- Buffalo State added another run in the third, and Plattsburgh broke the shutout with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth.

- Buffalo State mustered just two hits in the late game, including a solo home run by Block in the second inning.
- Plattsburgh plated one run in the first, six in the second and two more in the third and finished the game with nine hits.
- Scarlett Whitman (Grand Island/Grand Island) took the loss, allowing eight hits and nine earned runs in two full innings of work.
- Nicole Adams (Lockport/Starpoint) gave up just one hit while recording the final six outs.
FOR THE FOES
- Rhea Pitkin threw the five-inning two-hitter for the win.
- Haleigh Agans and Hope VanBrocklin each hit three-run homers for the Cardinals.
