TROY, N.Y.—Buffalo State extended is school-record 17-game-unbeaten streak that carried over from last season with a 1-1 tie against Farmingdale State in today's season opener at the RPI Engineers Cup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Farmingdale opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first half in the 41st minute.
- Victoria Colotti (New Windsor/Newburgh Free) pulled the Bengals even in the 53rd minute, however, with a header off a feed from freshman Samantha Brick (Newfane/Newfane).
- Neither team would score the rest of the way, thanks in large part to a nine-save performance by senior Nicole Torres (Wantagh/MacArthur) who was making her first start since 2015.
- Farmingdale finished with a 16-4 advantage in shots, including a 4-0 edge in overtime.
FOR THE FOES
- Brittney Starzee scored the lone goal for the Rams.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State is now 14-0-3 during its 17-game unbeaten streak that started with a 1-1 tie against Union on Sept. 17, 2016.
