ELMIRA, N.Y.—No. 15 Buffalo State saw its school-record eight-game winning streak come to an end with a 3-2 defeat in a non-conference game tonight at Elmira.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sam Maddox (St. Louis, MO/Lindburgh) opened the scoring for Buffalo State with the only goal of the opening period with assists from Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) and Anthony Passero (Fort Erie, ON/Lakeshore).
- The Soaring Eagles evened the score with the lone tally of the middle stanza, and then took the lead early in the third period.
- Wood pulled the Bengals even midway through the frame with his team-leading 11th goal of the season, unassisted on the power play.
- Elmira responded less than three minutes later, with what would prove to be the game-winner.
- The Soaring Eagles were credited with a 40-20 advantage in shots on goal, including 13-2 in the second period.
- Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) finished with 37 saves.
FOR THE FOES
- Connor Powell scored twice for Elmira, and Spencer MacLean potted the game-winner.
- Jake Sabourin made 18 saves for the win.
