No. 1/2 Plattsburgh pulls away from Women’s Hockey, 4-0

BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State controlled play for much of the first period, but could not capitalize, and nationally No. 1/2-ranked Plattsburgh responded with three goals in the second period to pull away for a 4-0 victory NEWHL game today at the Ice Arena.

  • Buffalo State outshot the Cardinals 16-9 in the opening 20 minutes but were unable to break through.
  • Plattsburgh pushed back in the second period and broke through with three goals before adding a second power-play goal of the game to complete the scoring late in the third period.
  • The Cardinals finished 2 of 8 on the power play, while Buffalo State was 0 for 6.
