NEW PALTZ, N.Y.— Buffalo State could not overcome a 13-2 run at the end of the second quarter as it fell to New Paltz, 69-53 in tonight's SUNYAC contest.

- Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) notched her second career double-double, finishing with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
- Liv LeBaron (Horseheads/Corning Painted Post) chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.
- Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) and Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) added seven and five points respectively.
- Buffalo State opened the game by scoring the first nine points and used the momentum to take a 12-8 after 10 minutes of play.
- New Paltz regrouped in the second frame and used a 13-2 run in the last five minutes to take a 32-21 lead at halftime.
- The Bengals used back-to-back free throws from McLean and Lay Knight (Brooklyn/Brooklyn Prep) to cut the lead to 10 with 2:30 left in the third.
- The Hawks connected on one of its nine 3-pointers to extend its lead to 19 with over nine minutes left in the game.
- New Paltz scored the last five points of the game to claim the victory.
- Buffalo State outscored the Hawks 16-12 in point in the paint and 12-7 in second chance points.
