Lay Knight (Brooklyn/Brooklyn Prep) and
Mariah Rosario (Flushing/RFK) each knocked down a pair of free throws in the closing minutes as Buffalo State completed the come from behind 56-51 road victory over Oneonta in this afternoon's SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led the Bengals for the third time in four games, finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
- Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) connected on two 3-pointers to finish with 10 points and five rebounds.
- Rosario added 10 points on a perfect 4-4 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line.
- Liv LeBaron (Horseheads/Corning Painted Post) finished with seven points.
- Buffalo State opened the game by scoring 10 of the first 13 points but Oneonta responded with a 9-2 of its own to tie the game at 12-12 after one quarter of play.
- The Bengals used a field goal from McLean and back-to-back jumpers by Lex Williams (Brooklyn/South Shore) to take a 20-16 lead with 4:16 left in the second frame.
- The battle of first half scoring runs continued as the Red Dragons scored nine unanswered to retake a 25-20 lead at halftime.
- Buffalo State outscored Oneonta 19-16 in the third quarter but found itself on the wrong end of a 41-39 lead at the final intermission.
- A 3-pointer from Licata tied the game at 45-45 and a 3-pointer from LeBaron less than two minutes later gave Buffalo State a 50-47 lead with 3:09 left in the game
- Oneonta had one final opportunity to tie the game, following Rosario's free throws, but the Bengals' defense made a final stand.
- Knight was fouled after the grabbing the ensuing rebound and gave Buffalo State the win with two insurance free throws.
- Buffalo State outrebounded the Red Dragons 44-41 for the game.
