BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) and Natasha Steinle (Morrison, CO/CIHA) tallied two goals apiece as Buffalo State cruised past Oswego 4-1 today in an NEWHL contest at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers struck first with a power-play goal just 3:18 into the contest, but Buffalo State took control from there and rallied for a convincing victory.
• Lenard evened the score before the first intermission.
• Steinle game the Bengals the lead in the latter half of the second period, and Lenard's second of the game and sixth of the season late in the frame gave the Bengals a two-goal cushion entering the final 20 minutes.
• Steinle added an insurance marker with her second of the game and fourth of the year early in the third and Buffalo State held the Lakers in check for the rest of the game.
• Buffalo State outshot Owego 28-18 for the contest and 10-5 in the third period.
• Justine Silva (El Monte, CA/Arroyo) finished with 17 saves for the victory.
