BUFFALO, N.Y.— Buffalo State erased a two-goal third-period deficit and
Vadim Vasjonkin (Tallinn, Estonia) scored with 30 seconds remaining in overtime to propel the Bengals to a 4-3 victory over visiting Morrisville State tonight in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vasjonkin had a goal and an assist, while Michael Anthony Guerrera (Montreal, QC/OHA), Sam Maddox (St. Louis, MO/Lindburgh) and Andrew Husted (Niagara Falls, NY/Grand Island) also scored.
- Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) had three assists, and Reid Bibb (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg) had a pair of helpers.
- Morrisville opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the game and led 1-0 at the first intermission, despite the Bengals peppering the Mustangs' goal with 15 first-period shots.
- Buffalo State evened the score midway through the second period on a power-play goal by Guerrera, but the Mustangs responded with a pair of power-play goals of their own to take a 3-1 lead going into the third period.
- Maddox tapped in a backdoor feed from Vasjonkin for his fourth goal of the season just past the halfway mark of the frame to cut the deficit to one.
- Husted banged home his own rebound for his fourth of the season to pull Buffalo State square with 5:48 remaining in regulation.
- Vasjonkin finally ended the game with just 30 ticks remaining wiring a wrist shot from the slot into the top corner off a feed from Wood.
- Buffalo State dominated possession for much of the contest, finishing with a 39-17 advantage in shots on goal.
- Connor Minch (Manchester, NH/Manchester Central) finished with just 14 saves in the win.
