PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.—Nationally No. 1/2 Plattsburgh netted three first-period goals in a 4-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State in today's regular-season finale.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals jumped out to an early 2-0 lead just over five minutes into the contest.
- Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) answered for Buffalo State with her eighth goal of the season unassisted midway through the opening period.
- The Cardinals regained the two-goal edge before the first intermission and added an insurance marker in the second period to complete the game's scoring.
- Plattsburgh finished with a 35-28 advantage in shots on goal, but Buffalo State had a 22-20 edge over the final 40 minutes.
- Justine Silva (El Monte, CA/Arroyo) finished with 31 saves for Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES
- Courtney Moriarty scored two more goals, giving her five on the weekend and 27 for the season.
