OSWEGO, N.Y.— Oswego led by as many as 18 in the first half and held on for a 69-59 victory over visiting Buffalo State tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee) led the Bengals in scoring with 13 points and six rebounds.
- Sir.Quintin Campbell (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds.
- Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) finished with nine points.
- Oswego opened up the scoring with a 15-4 run and used back-to-back layups to extend the lead to 21-4 at the midway point of the first half.
- Buffalo State's defense held the Lakers to only one field goal in the final 3:40 of the first half to cut the lead to 36-28 at halftime.
- The Bengals and the Lakers battled in the early minutes until a basket by J.C. Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) trimmed the lead to 49-45 with 10:44 left in the game.
- Oswego extended its lead to 61-54 with 3:40 left in the second half and coasted for the win.
- Buffalo State shot 36 percent from the floor and 68 percent from the charity stripe
- The Lakers held a 49-32 advantage in rebounds but the Bengals outscored Oswego 18-8 in points off turnovers
