Women’s Volleyball falls twice to open season at Morrisville Tourney

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Buffalo State opened the 2018 season today at the Morrisville State Invitational dropping a pair of four-set matches against SUNY Poly and Hartwick.
 
MATCH #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE:  SUNY Poly def. Buffalo State, 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 21-25, 25-19)
LOCATION: Morrisville, N.Y.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SUNY Poly claimed the first two sets, but the Bengals prolonged the match with a 25-21 win in the third set, only to fall 25-19 in the fourth.
  • Eimile O'Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) paced Buffalo State's offense in the opening match with eight kills and just one attacking error.
  • Hanna Cormier (Fort Edward/Warhill) tallied 17 digs.
  • Tyler Reis (Meridianville, AL/Hazel Green) and Brooke Federko (Jamestown/Jamestown) totaled 11 assists apiece.
