BUFFALO, N.Y.—
Saleman Salim (Nairobi, Kenya/Hutch Tech) tallied a goal and an assist, while
Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) notched his 25
th career shutout, as Buffalo State scored two first-half goals en route to a 2-0 victory over visiting Oswego in today's SUNYAC regular season finale.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State stormed out of the gates by opening the scoring just over five minutes into the contest as Salim drove to the end line and pushed a pass across the front of the goal to a cutting Josh Beshaw (Lockport/Lockport) who buried his first goal of the season into the bottom-right corner. Badi Smith (Albany/Albany) was also credited with an assist on the goal.
- After a stretch of back-and-forth play, the Bengals doubled their lead in the 34th minute as Salim dribbled past five defenders and rocketed a shot into the bottom-left corner for his second goal of the season.
- Both offenses came out firing in the second half, with each nearly doubling their shot totals from the first half, but neither team was able to break through.
- Oswego had its best scoring opportunities late in the second frame, tallying four shots-on-goal in a 10-minute span, but Queen stood tall with timely saves to preserve the shutout.
- Queen finished with six saves as he completed his ninth shutout on the season.
- Buffalo State finished with an 18-13 shots advantage for the game, while the Lakers held a 10-6 edge in corner kicks.
- Both teams combined for 28 fouls and five yellow cards in a hard-fought victory for the Bengals.

- Brian Terra tallied a game-high seven saves in net for the Lakers.
