SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— Buffalo State could not overcome and early two-goal deficit, dropping a 2-1 decision against Tufts today in the opening round of the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tufts struck first just 54 seconds into the game and extended its lead to 2-0 before the midway point of the opening period.
- Buffalo State finally cut the deficit in half when Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) scored his seventh goal of the season in the latter stages of the second period with assists from Vadim Vasjonkin (Tallinn, Estonia) and Nikita Kozyrev (Tallinn, Estonia).
- Buffalo State fired 11 shots on goal in the third period, but was unable to net the equalizer.
- Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Jensen) finished with 33 saves for Buffalo State as the Jumbos held a 35-34 edge in shots on goal.
- Both teams were 0 for 2 on the power play.

- Josh Sarlo made 33 saves for the win.
