BUFFALO, N.Y.—
Zak Shaibi (Buffalo/McKinley) scored twice as Buffalo State dominated visiting St. John Fisher in a 4-0 victory today to push its record to 6-0 to open the season for the first time since 1983.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna) opened the scoring just over a minute into the game with his fourth goal of the season and the score remained 1-0 at halftime despite Buffalo State holding a 17-1 edge in shot attempts.
- The Bengals persistent attack finally paid dividends in the second half as Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway) started things off with his 10th goal of the season in the 66th minute.
- Shaibi concluded the scoring with his sixth and seventh tallies of the season in the 71st and 84th minutes.
- Abdi Salim (Nairobi, Kenya/Hutch Tech), Nemanja Simic (Grand Island/Grand Island) and Colin O'Keefe (Buffalo/Canisius) all contributed assists in the win.
- Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) was not called upon to make a save in his fifth shutout of the season.
- Buffalo State finished with a 31-2 advantage in shot attempts and a 10-2 edge in corners.
