BUFFALO, N.Y.— Despite playing a man down for the final 75 minutes of the game, Buffalo State still managed to earn a 3-0 victory over visiting D'Youville this evening to improve to 7-0 for the program's best start since its undefeated season in 1970.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The nation's leading scorer Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway) continued to add to his total with two more goals, giving him 12 on the season, and also added an assist.
- Zak Shaibi (Buffalo/McKinley) netted his eight goal of the season.
- Pencic opened the scoring in the 26th minute running down a long pass from Moe Saif (Lackawanna/Coppell (TX)).
- Pencic pushed the score to 2-0 with just one second remaining in the first half, depositing a slick through ball from Josh Beshaw (Lockport/Lockport).
- Shaibi completed the scoring in the 71st minute, neatly corralling a pass from Pencic before ripping a shot into the back of the net.
- The Bengals outshot the Spartans 27-3, and Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) once again was not required to make a single save for his sixth shutout of the season.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Bengals have not conceded a goal in the past 472 minutes and 34 seconds of game time.
