HOUGHTON, N.Y.—Buffalo State scored a second-half goal to even the score and secured a 1-1 draw in a non-conference game this evening at Houghton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Houghton opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first half, striking in the 27th minute.
- Freshman Sarah Berlinger (Grand Island/Grand Island) answered with her second goal in the past three games with an assist from Hannah Gallivan (Buffalo/Kenmore West) in the 59th minute.
- Neither team would strike again as Isabella Vene (Deer Park/Deer Park) finished with four saves in goal for the Bengals to preserve the tie.
- Buffalo State finished with a 15-13 advantage in shot attempts with the Highlanders holding a 9-6 edge in shots on goal.
