BUFFALO, N.Y.—Potsdam used a pair of second half goals to defeat host Buffalo State 2-0 in today's SUNYAC season-opener at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State appeared to mount a couple of early scoring opportunities, but could not capitalize which allowed Potsdam to settle into the game.
- Although the Bengals had an advantage in ball control in the first half, shot attempts were even at 5-5 and the game remained scoreless.
- Potsdam finally broke through in the 56th minute and added an insurance marker with less than six minutes remaining.
- The Bears finished with an 18-14 advantage in shot attempts, including a 13-9 edge in the second half.
- Buffalo State possessed the ball for 53-percent of the contest.
- Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) finished with four saves in the loss.
