POTSDAM, NY— Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) had 11 kills to lead the Bengals, but it wasn't enough as the Buffalo State volleyball team fell to SUNYAC foe Potsdam in four sets on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
o Schultheis had her 11 kills on a .348 hitting percentage to lead the team.
o Jenna Hugenschmidt (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) led the Bengals with 11 digs.
o Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South) dished out 20 assists.
o Tied at 18-18 in the first set, the Bears scored seven of the final 10 points to win the frame.
o Buffalo State jumped out to a 12-6 lead in the second set, and were able to maintain the lead throughout the remainder of the set. The Bengals hit an impressive .526 in the second set on the way to earning a 25-17 victory.
o A service ace by Eden Harrison (Eldersburg, MD/Century) and a kill by Angelina Scichilone (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) cut the Potsdam lead down to 23-22 in the third set, but the Bears won the final two points to take a two sets to one advantage.
o The Bengals raced out to a 10-1 lead in the fourth set, but were unable to maintain the lead as the Bears stormed by going on a 21-6 run. Buffalo State fought back to within two points, but Potsdam ended the match on a three-point run.

FOR THE FOES
o Jessica Ader had a double-double of 16 kills and 11 digs for the Bears.
