Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden) turned aside each of the 23 shots he faced to lead the Buffalo State men's hockey team to a 3-0 shutout over Morrisville State in their SUNYAC opener on Wednesday night at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kozyrev opened the scoring in the first period just over eight minutes into the game from the right side of the net, blasting a cross-ice feed from Vanuden into the back of the net.
- Norrman made 10 saves in the opening period as the Mustangs outshot Buffalo State 10-4.
- Leading 1-0 with just over eight minutes left in the second period, Kozyrev rung a shot from the right side just off the right goalpost.
- Buffalo State controlled play for much of the period, but the Bengals were unable to add to their lead, holding a slim advantage into the second intermission.
- Kozyrev doubled the Buffalo State lead with just over four minutes remaining in the game, sending a wrist shot off a pass from Marinelli past the Morrisville State goalkeeper for his second of the night.
- With Morrisville State pulling their goaltender for an extra attacker with under a minute remaining, Kozyrev completed his first career hat trick by stealing the puck from a Morrisville attacker and sliding a shot from beyond center ice into the empty net.
