BUFFALO, NY — Joel Frazee (Monroe MI/Shreveport Mudbugs) scored a hat trick for the Buffalo State men's hockey team, as the Bengals got back on track with a 7-1 thrashing of Potsdam on Saturday evening at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Potsdam opened the scoring with 4:30 remaining in the opening period, as Nick Alfieri beat Minch to the upper left corner of the net with a shot.
- The Bears held the 1-0 advantage through the first intermission.
- Buffalo State evened the score six minutes into the second period, as Roger Powers (Pittsford, NY/SUNY Canton) sent a cross ice pass to Morin, who skated past multiple defenders and ripped a wrist shot into the roof of the net.
- Frazee gave the Bengals the lead for good with four minutes left in the second period, snapping a wrist shot from the right circle to the top left corner of the goal.
- The Bengals tacked on five goals in the final period to turn a close contest into a blowout.
- Logar doubled the Buffalo State advantage with a power-play goal two minutes into the final period.
- Frazee scored his second of the night, blasting a one-timer from the right slot off a spinning feed from A.J. Marinelli (Amherst, NY/Lockport Regals) past the Potsdam goalie.
- Frazee completed his hat trick on a breakaway with six and a half minutes remaining in the game, stealing the puck and making an excellent move to deke the goalie and finish with a backhander.
- Allison scored a power-play goal off a slapshot from the point with under one minute remaining in regulation, and Pasic knocked in a rebound with 24.9 seconds left for the final two Buffalo State goals.

- Alfieri scored the Bears' goal, with Josh Bifulchi recording the assist.
