GENESEO, N.Y.— No. 15 Geneseo controlled possession from the opening whistle and netted the game's first 15 goal en route to a 17-3 victory today over visiting Buffalo State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Julia Wachna (Syracuse/Onondaga), Nevaeh Herd (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) and Anisa Mahmood (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored the Bengals' goals.
- Geneseo opened up a 9-0 lead by halftime, outshooting Buffalo State 29-2 over the opening 30 minutes.
- The Knights continued to pull away, pushing the lead to 15-0 midway through the second half before the Bengals scored three of the game's final goals.
- Geneseo outshot the Bengals 51-7 for the game and held a 20-1 advantage in draw controls. The Knights also corralled 27 ground balls, compared to 11 by Buffalo State.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont) allowed 15 goals while making 16 saves, and Makenna Murphy (Greece/Hoosac Prepatory Academy) surrendered two goals and made two saves.

- Hannah Marafioti led eight Geneseo scorers with four goals and added two assists, and Nicole Voci had three goals and two assists.
