BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State's first home game in more than a year was spoiled by a strong first half by visiting Oswego today as the Lakers jumped out to a commanding first-half lead and converted it into a 14-6 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lindsay Wademan (Owego/Owego Free) led the Bengals with two goals and an assist, and Samantha Burlow (West Seneca/Buffalo Seminary) and Anisa Mahmood (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) added two goal apiece.
- Burlow opened the scoring just over three minutes into the game, but the Lakers responded with four straight goals in just over five minutes to take a lead they would never relinquish.
- Oswego led 9-2 at halftime and pushed the lead to 12-2 early in the second half before the Bengals scored four of the game's final six goals down the stretch.
- The Lakers outshot the Bengals 24-21 overall and 19-15 on goal. Oswego also held a 13-8 advantage in draw controls.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont) finished with five saves in the loss.
FOR THE FOES
- Sela Wiley led Oswego with four goals and an assist.
- Shea McConnell also scored four times, and Logan Castiglione added two goals and three assists.
- Delaney Kendrick made nine saves for the victory.
Buffalo State will travel to Fredonia on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start.
