FREDONIA, N.Y.—Fredonia used a 7-0 run over a span of 22 minutes and 46 seconds to erase and early deficit en route to a 14-8 victory over visiting Buffalo State this evening in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State used a fast start to jump out to a 4-1 lead 12 minutes into the game, but Fredonia answered with a 7-0 run to close the first half and start the second to take a lead they would never relinquish.
- The Bengals traded goals with the Blue Devils and tallied to make the score 11-7 with 18:30 remaining. Fredonia pulled away from there, scoring the next three goals and holding the Bengals scoreless for more than 18 minutes before the Bengals added a final goal in the waning seconds.
- Julia Wachna (Syracuse/Onondaga) led Buffalo State with four goals and an assist.
- Samantha Burlow (West Seneca/Buffalo Seminary) scored twice, and Sydney Watters (N. Tonawanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Nevaeh Herd (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) added a goal apiece.
- Fredonia finished with a narrow 25-21 edge in shots.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont) finished with six saves.
FOR THE FOES
- Emily Carr backstopped Fredonia to the win making 14 saves.
- Madeline Haney led the Blue Devils with four goals and two assists, and Sarah English and Bri Emery added three goals apiece.
