BRADFORD, PA – Alena McKelvey (Buffalo, N.Y./City Honors) and
Liz Schultheis (Holley, N.Y./Brockport) combined for 26 kills, but Pitt-Bradford rallied to win the final three sets as the Panthers claimed a 3-1 victory in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- McKelvey had a team-high 15 kills and Schultheis contributed 11 kills to lead the Buffalo State attack.
- Samantha Coakley (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) had 10 kills to go along with 15 digs and five service aces.
- Jenna Hughenschmidt (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence had five service aces and and a team-high 17 digs.
- McCartney Geartz (N. Tonawanda, N.Y./N.Tonawanda) had a solid performance with eight kills and a .316 hitting percentage for the Bengals.
- Trailing 18-17 in the first set, the Bengals won seven of the final nine points, capped off by a Riley Domin (Getzville, N.Y./Williamsville South) service ace, to earn a 25-19 victory.
- The Panthers won a back and forth second set to even the match at one set apiece.
- The Bengals rattled off seven consecutive points to take a 20-15 lead in the third set, but Pitt-Bradford rallied to tie the score at 25-25, and eventually grabbed the set with a 29-27 victory.
- Three straight service aces by Coakley in the fourth set gave the Bengals a 20-18 lead, but the Panthers once again fought back to tie the score at 23-23, and then won the final two points to win the match.
FOR THE FOES
- Emily Cleveland had 16 kills, and Tabitha Walker dished out 34 assists for the Panthers.
- Kayla Maslowski had a game-high 19 digs for Pitt-Bradford
