BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team dropped a SUNYAC matchup at home on Tuesday evening, falling to Potsdam 82-66.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Philbert Weekes (Brooklyn, NY/Lafayette) and Aaron Davis (Beacon, NY/Beacon) led Buffalo State with 19 points apiece. Weekes also added 11 rebounds, while Davis had a team-high three blocks.
- Robert Richards (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) and DaRon Hughey each chipped in 11 points.
- Buffalo State shot 8-17 from 3-point range.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals came out firing on offense, draining three of their first four shots, and a three-point play by Richards gave Buffalo State an 8-3 lead just two minutes into the game.
- Argjend Imeri (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) pushed the Buffalo State lead to 12 points with a 3-pointer just before the midway point of the half
- The Bears slowly erased the deficit, and Tyrese Baptiste's layup tied the score at 35-35 with just over a minute left in the half.
- MeSean Johnson gave Potsdam a 37-35 lead twenty seconds later, but Weekes made a putback with five seconds left in the half to even things up at 37-37 at halftime.
- The teams traded buckets to begin the second half, and Davis's 3-pointer gave Buffalo State its final lead at 54-53 with just over 11 minutes left.
- The Bears immediately went on a 15-0 run to take control of the game.
- Potsdam slowly built its lead to as many as 19 with just over a minute remaining, and closed out the final minute for the sixteen point victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Brandon Segar Jr. had a game-high 24 points and also tallied 10 rebounds to lead the Bears.
- Colton Huestis added 19 points for the visitors.
