CORTLAND, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team was swept by defending SUNYAC Champion Cortland on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

• Eden Harrison (Eldersburg, MD/Century) led Buffalo State with seven kills.
• Jenna Hugenschmidt (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) had 12 digs, while Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South) and Karlie Shaffer (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) each dished out 10 assists.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first set was back-and-forth, until the Red Dragons earned the victory by winning seven of the final 10 points.
• Leading 14-11 in the second set, Cortland finished the set on an 11-2 run to take a two-set advantage.
• Buffalo State held a 11-8 lead in the third set after kills by Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) and Valerie Ryan (Queens, NY/Frank Sinatra).
• The teams traded points, but with the Bengals leading 23-21, Cortland won the final four points of the match.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Zoe Staats had 13 kills to lead the Red Dragons.
