HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was back-and-forth, until the Red Dragons earned the victory by winning seven of the final 10 points.
- Leading 14-11 in the second set, Cortland finished the set on an 11-2 run to take a two-set advantage.
- Buffalo State held a 11-8 lead in the third set after kills by Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) and Valerie Ryan (Queens, NY/Frank Sinatra).
- The teams traded points, but with the Bengals leading 23-21, Cortland won the final four points of the match.
FOR THE FOES
- Zoe Staats had 13 kills to lead the Red Dragons.
