BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo State will send their men's and women's cross-country teams to the annual Canisius Alumni Classic this weekend. The teams will head down the street to Delaware Park with the women slated to run at noon and the men at 12:45 pm.
 
Breaking Down The Bengals:

• The Bengal men competed last weekend at the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by Geneseo.
• Matt Nelson (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay) was the top Bengal finisher, going 31:35.4/6:22 for the 8k course.
• Steve Murphy (Buffalo, NY/East Aurora), Gabe Chizzonite (Fayetteville, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius), and Chris Goodlander (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) all ran sub-7:00 pace to round out the Bengals field.
• On the women's side, the team last competed at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invite.
• Destiny Rivera (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Liberal Arts) was the first Bengals to finish the 6k course in 32:47.9/8:48.

Up Next:

• This will be the final regular season meet of the year. The team will begin their preparations for SUNYACS on October 29^th at Oswego.
