BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo State men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Canisius Alumni Classic today at Delaware Park.

FOR THE BENGAL MEN

• Storm McPherson (Buffalo, NY/Amherst) was the top Bengals finisher, finishing the 8k course in 31:15.3/6:18.
• Matthew Nelson (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay) finished shortly after with a time of 31:21.7/6:19.
• Gabe Chizzonite (Fayetteville, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius), Steve Murphy (Buffalo, NY/East Aurora), and Chris Goodlander (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) all finished with sub-7:00 mile pace.

FOR THE BENGAL WOMEN

• Destiny Rivera (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Liberal Arts) was the first Bengal to finish the 5k course with a time of 23:42.1/7:38
• Brooklyn Lawrence (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga Central) came in with a time of 25:18.2/8:09, besting her personal mark by nearly 10 minutes.
• Samantha Kelly (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East), Tori Florczak (Depew, NY/St. Mary's), and Emily Jason (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) all went personal bests.
