BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team wrapped up its SUNYAC schedule on Saturday afternoon, playing to a 2-2 draw with Plattsburgh State at Coyer Field. With the result, the Bengals fell short of reaching the SUNYAC playoffs.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Yousif Kowa (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech) and Nacho Cacares (Hopewell, NY/John Jay) each scored their first goals of the season for Buffalo State.
- Ali Mohamed (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) also added an assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State took the early lead in the 28th minute on Kowa's header off a perfect cross from Mohamed off of a free kick.
- The lead was short-lived, as Plattsburgh State tied the score at 1-1 just four minutes later.
- The Cardinals ramped up the pressure, which resulted in a second goal in the 37th minute.
- The score remained 2-1 into halftime.
- Buffalo State began to press for an equalizer in the second half, and was able to get it as Caceres fired home a volley in the 85th minute.
- Buffalo State was unable to score a winning goal needed to keep their playoff hopes alive in the final five minutes, despite a few solid chances.
