BUFFALO, NY – The Bengals women's volleyball team earned the victory tonight as they defeated the Medaille Mavericks in four sets. The team will host a tri-match on Saturday before they begin their run in the SUNYAC playoffs.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) led the way with 14 kills for the Bengals.
• Schultheis also added four solo blocks, and five block assists.

Eden Harrison (Eldersburg, MD/Century) had six kills of her own.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bengals jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first set.
• Buffalo State would dominate much of the set, however, Medaille would put some pressure on to close the gap.
•
Myah Platler (Syracuse, NY/Solvay) notched the final kill in the set.
• Medaille fought back in the second set to even the score 1-1.
• Buffalo State regained form in the third set despite Medaille continuing to add pressure.
• In the final set, the Bengals returned to form and pulled away and ended on a 14-3 run.
FOR THE FOES
• Halle Bogas registered 14 kills for the Mavericks.
• Alejandra Marin tallied 15 digs.

The Bengals will wrap-up the regular season this weekend as they host the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher for a tri-match on Saturday starting at noon.
