Box Score BUFFALO, NY – Four different players netted a goal, and
Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Dells Ducks) made 36 saves in goal, as the Buffalo State men's hockey team posted a 4-0 shutout of Lawrence in the season opener on Friday evening at the Ice Arena.

- Norrman's shutout was the third of his career.
- Joel Frazee (Monroe, MI/Shreveport Mudbugs) scored the game winner in the first period.
- Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville, NY/New Jersey Titans) recorded a goal and an assist.
- Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) and A.J. Marinelli (Amherst, NY/Lockport Regals) each added two assists.
- Tyler Vanuden (Fort Frances, ON/Finlandia University) and Parker Allison (Dallas, TX/Neepawa Natives) also scored for Buffalo State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State took over eight minutes to record a shot on goal, but it was Frazee's rope of a wrist shot into the top corner off a drop pass by Glamos that opened the scoring.
- The Bengals held that advantage into the first intermission.
- Norrman was excellent in the second period, stopping 17 shots in the frame to maintain the Buffalo State advantage.
- Allison netted a power-play goal on a one-timer off a perfect feed from Chris Blango (Chadds Ford, PA/Philadelphia Little Flyers). It was also Blango's first collegiate point.
- Vanuden's centering pass redirected off a skate into the net for the third Buffalo State goal just before the midway point of the period.
- Glamos wrapped up the scoring with under five minutes left, one-timing a cross-ice feed from Marinelli for the goal.

- Zach Lodes led the Vikings with five shots in the game.
