BUFFALO, NY - - The Buffalo State women's basketball team welcomes I-90 rival Brockport tonight at 5:30 P.M. The Bengals are looking to build off of the team's victory vs Pitt Bradford last Monday, while the Golden Eagles are hoping to get back on track after the team's second straight loss came at RIT last Tuesday.

Buffalo State comes into Tuesday's game having soundly defeated the Panthers of Pitt Bradford in their last outing by 27, 69-42.

Sophomore guard Tashawni Cornfield (Gowanda, NY/Putham) led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds in the victory.

Freshman guard Kirsten Merritt (Cortland, NY/Cortland) and sophomore center Brianna Smith (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield) each offered 10 points of their own to solidify the win.

Juan Brown led Brockport in scoring with 11 points, while Zairea Hannah was the other double digit scorer with 10 points of her own.

Hannah also led the team in rebounds with eight, and steals with three.
