GENESEO, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball fell short in their SUNYAC contest tonight with Geneseo by a final score of 61-46 at the Schrader Gymnasium.

• Tashawni Cornfield (Gowanda, NY/Putham) and Brianna Smith (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield) led Buffalo State's offense with 11 points each.
• Adiya Jones (Washington D.C./McKinley Technology) racked up seven rebounds.
• Overall, the team was 6-8 from the free throw line.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo opened the night on an 8-0 run.
• Buffalo State would start to rally back into the action and eventually took an 11-10 lead after a Cornfield free throw.
• The Knights would take back the lead, and head into the half up 26-21.
• Geneseo came out firing in the second half as they were able to build a lead of 17 heading into the final quarter.
• During the final ten minutes of play, the Knights offense held tough and never saw the lead shrink under nine.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Hannah Stockman led Geneseo with 13 points.
• Kerry Dennin had eight baskets of her own and a team-high 13 rebounds.
