BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team fell to #15 Oswego State on Friday afternoon by a final score of 9-2 in NEWHL action at the Ice Arena.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

• Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons) and Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Elite Southern Express) both netted goals for Buffalo State. Willick also added an assist.
• Sarah Jackson (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls Rapids), Layla McDonnell (Glens Falls, NY/Adirondack Northstars), and Erica Greene (Oswego, NY/Shoreline Sharks) registered one assist each.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Oswego State took an early lead just over two minutes into the game, but Buffalo State responded 75 seconds later as Willick snapped a wrist shot into the back of the net for the equalizer.
• The Lakers took the lead once again four minutes later on Mack Hull's goal.
• Running Rabbit redicted the puck into the net from in front of goal for a power-play goal at the 11:37 mark of the period.
• Oswego State took the lead for good under three minutes later, and added another goal to take a 4-2 advantage into the first intermission.
• The Lakers added three more goals in the second period and two goals in the third period to seal the game.  

 
FOR THE FOES

• Hull finished the game with three goals and two assists, while Simone Bednarik and Ashlyn McGrath each had two goals and an assist.
