BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's hockey team wraps up play for the fall semester with a pair of pivotal SUNYAC matchups at home this weekend. The Bengals will face #10 Oswego State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Cortland on Saturday at 7 p.m.

EYES ON THE BENGALS

• Buffalo State enters the weekend with a 6-5-0 overall record (3-3-0 SUNYAC). The Bengals split a pair of SUNYAC games last weekend, falling to Geneseo before bouncing back with a 4-3 win over Brockport.
• Last weekend, Nikita Kozyrev (Tallinn, Estonia/Springfield Jr. Blues) registered five points on two goals and three assists, earning SUNYAC Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week honors.
• A Buffalo State player holds the top spot in the conference in all three major individual scoring categorites. Kozyrev is first in points with 14 points, Tyler Vanuden (Fort Frances, ON/Finlandia University) is the leading goal scorer with 8 goals, and Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) is the top assister with 10 assists this season.
• Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Dells Ducks) continues to lead the SUNYAC with 412 saves this season, and his .936 save percentage is 22^nd in the country.
• Buffalo State leads the conference with a 34.3% conversion rate on the power play this season, a mark that also ranks them fourth in the nation.

 
A LOOK AT THE LAKERS

• Oswego State enters the weekend with a 7-4-0 overall record (5-1-0 SUNYAC), and looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The Lakers are also ranked #10 in the most recent USCHO.com poll.
• Cal Schell has been Oswego State's top goalie this season, recording a 6-3-0 record, as well as a .924 save percentage and 2.30 goals against average.
• Shane Bull leads the Lakers with 10 points in 11 games this season, scoring five goals and also registering five assists.
