BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team fell short this afternoon as they were defeated by the Oneonta Red Dragons by a final of 68-37 at the Sports Arena.

- Tashawni Cornfield (Gowanda, NY/Putham) paced the Bengals offense with 18 points.
- Cornfield also added five rebounds and an assist.
- Brianna Smith (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield) added 11 points of her own.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oneonta jumped out to a 15-4 lead after the first quarter.
- In the second, the Red Dragons built on their lead and went into the half up 29-16.
- The Red Dragons offense expeditiously grew their lead to 27 by the end of the third quarter.
- During the final 10 minutes, Oneonta's offense continued to push and grew the lead to 30.
- The Bengals trailed by a 43-31 mark in rebounding and shot 62.5% from the field.
FOR THE FOES
- Olivia Dobrovosky had 12 points for the Red Dragons.
- Molly Stephens also had a double-digit night as she netted 11.
