Lacrosse Heads to Potsdam for SUNYAC Matchup

Game begins at 12 p.m. Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State lacrosse team will look to bounce back from a defeat in the SUNYAC opener, heading out to Potsdam to take on the Bears in conference play on Saturday at 12 p.m. Follow along with VIDEO or LIVE STATS.
 
EYES ON THE BENGALS
 
-Buffalo State is 3-3 overall (0-1 SUNYAC) after falling on the road to Geneseo, 17-4, on Wednesday afternoon.
 
-Julia Wachna (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga) has scored in three consecutive games, the second-longest scoring streak of her career. She scored in five consecutive games from April 14, 2021 to March 2, 2022.
 
-Liz Schultheis (Holley, NY/Brockport) leads Buffalo State with 31 draw controls, the second-most in the conference.
 
PRESENTING POTSDAM
 
-The Bears are 3-3 overall (0-1 SUNYAC), falling to New Paltz in their last game.
 
-Anita Reitano has 27 goals for Potsdam this season, the top mark in the SUNYAC. Her 4.5 goals per game are also tied for 29th nationally.  
 
-Potsdam averages 17.67 goals per game to lead the conference, but only managed six goals in its SUNYAC opener, a 17-6 defeat to New Paltz.
 
THE HISTORY
 
Buffalo State holds a 17-8 edge over Potsdam since 1995. The Bengals have also won three straight against the Bears, including a 9-7 Buffalo State victory in the last meeting of the squads in 2019.
