BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State softball team will head for its first SUNYAC road matchups of the year, taking on Oneonta on Monday evening and New Paltz on Tuesday afternoon.

EYES ON THE BENGALS
-Buffalo State is 6-12 overall, and riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Medaille in a non-conference doubleheader last Tuesday.
Ella Susi (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) allowed no earned runs in a complete game effort in game two as the Bengals earned a 5-3 win in 11 innings.

Taylor Benton (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Wheatfield) is tied for second in the SUNYAC with nine doubles this season, while teammate
Kayla Wolinski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) is tied for fourth with six doubles.

Carli Bogue (Elba, NY/Elba) has pitched the third-most innings in the conference this season, tossing 51.2 innings, including three complete games.
-The Bengals are yet to be caught stealing this season, a perfect 20-for-20 on stolen base attempts.
RESEARCHING THE RED DRAGONS
-Oneonta has a 13-6 overall record (4-0 SUNYAC), and their last doubleheader resulted in a 7-6 loss to Ithaca, as well as a protested game, which was upheld by the NCAA and declared a no contest.
-The Red Dragons' staff has pitched to a 3.90 earned run average, led by Angelina Scalere, Cadence Brennan, and Lauren Weber. Scalere has a 2.43 earned run average, Brennan has a 2.69 earned run average, and Weber is 4-2 with a team-high 30 strikeouts.
-Oneonta has seven triples as a team this season, most in the conference. The Red Dragons are led by two triples apiece by Adriana Fiori, Sophia Mangone, and Megan Palmatier.
THE HISTORY
Buffalo State holds a 30-20 record over Oneonta since 1991. However, the Red Dragons have won three straight against the Bengals, including a 5-4 victory in the last matchup of the teams in 2019.
A BIRD'S-EYE VIEW OF THE HAWKS
-New Paltz is 15-9 (2-2 SUNYAC), and riding a four-game winning streak. The Hawks swept Mount Saint Mary in a doubleheader on Tuesday evening, and will take on Fredonia on Monday afternoon.
-Jackie Rometo has a .444 batting average, third-highest in the SUNYAC. Teammate Katie Quagliana has the fourth-highest average in the conference at .408.
-New Paltz has scored the most runs in the conference this season with 148, good for an average of 6.2 runs per game.
THE HISTORY
The Bengals are 33-11 against New Paltz since 1991. The Hawks pulled out a pair of victories in the last meetings of the teams back in 2019.
